Public Invitation to a new Partner
Wednesday, June 4th, 2003
It appears that Johnny has started work as a firefighter for the summer already, and didn’t have a chance to write that on the site. Given that, the duo will become one for the summer if I don’t find a temorary replacement. I thought long and hard about who would be a suitable replacement.
The person should be quite different from me, but also close to me. They should be witty and intelligent, and most importantly should be better at writing than I am. This leaves me with one canditate who would best fill in this slot, and who will probably make this site a considerably different read. I would like to invite my mother, Kathy to be my copilot on this website until Johnny’s return.
I suspect however, that she has quit reading this site due to my frequent political posts which weren’t much to her liking. To test this, I will leave this post up for a couple of days and see if she discovers herself that she has been invited.
At any rate, Mom, would you take up Johnny’s slack for a while. I know that you are a good writer, and I think you are the perfect person to add a new flavor to this site for a while. Please accept this invitation.
P.S. Everyone, please feel free to comment encouraging my Mom to start writing on this site. You too can make a difference.
Hi Bob. This is Peter Jacobs. We met last night at Shakey’s after the Tokyo PC User’s Group meeting. Just thought I’d just drop a line with my personal info.
If you’re interested, please check out my URL. It is by no means a blog, just some static HTML pages with images and some commentary. Nonetheless, any suggestions for sprucing it up are greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
PJ
C’mon Mum!! Please post and knock some sense into this boy (^^)
Dear UltraMom,
We loyal readers would love to get the skinny on babyUltraBob. Give us your insight on how he came to be the raving lunatic that he seems to be today. We’re sure it’s not your fault…

I think some parental supervision is long overdue around here.
Not only that, but I think it would be a great opportunity to impart wisdom from one generation to the next. (Hey, let’s face it, UltraBob needs all the wisdom he can get!)
Wow. I’m touched, flattered, frightened and amazed. A roller coaster of emotions. I haven’t, in fact, read your site for a while, Bob, and just did this morning cause Aunt Debi forwarded your note to her to me. Lots going on around here for a while, ya know?
I may take on your challenge, though I don’t know if I have what it takes time wise (and also clever wise). I definitely have a different viewpoint, but don’t spend as much time formulating it as you have done. I’m getting ready for work, so I’ll read all the recent posts more carefully tonight.
