New Beginnings

I committed last night to 40 days of daily reading; I am going through Rick Warren’s “A Purpose Driven Life” with some close women friends. Maybe I’ll be sharing some of my insights along the way. I’m also going to commit to writing daily on this site (unless I am out of town) for the same period of time. Today I was reminded that God created each of us for his purpose, and that without him, the question of life’s purpose will be empty and like aimless wandering.
When someone asks, “What do you do?” they want to know what work I am pursuing to earn money enabling me to purchase food, lodging and “the extras”. “Bank employee” doesn’t begin to define me as a person, however.
While I’m at it, I’d also like to commit to 40 days of keeping my food journal and daily exercise…........maybe too much commitment even for such a disciplined
person as myself….........TTFN
Commitments are good. You are more than the sum of your parts and making promises to yourself (and fulfilling them) make you an even bigger, better and brighter person than you already are.
