First off, let me say that UltraGirl is feeling better all the time, and we are not sure, but we think we’ve started feeling the baby moving around which is exciting. UltraGirl promises she will work on her post about dog day soon, but I thought I’d jump in with a few baby pictures. Without further ado, here are the first 4 ultrasounds we’ve gotten. We should get another one in a couple weeks.

This is actually the second ultrasound taken, but I didn’t go into the examination room with UltraGirl the first time, and the doctor didn’t give her the picture. Tomoko reported that it just looked like a dot. This one isn’t that much further along, but the dot has elongated.

Hey now the little he or she is starting to look like something. We were able to see a heartbeat and the little arms were moving. It blew my mind.

Now our little friend is really starting to look like something, namely a thanksgiving turkey and a balloon. Actually this is a poor representation of what I actually saw, I was able to see the little arms and legs quite clearly. I am in love.

And now it appears that UltraGirl has ingested a pair of sunglasses. As you can tell from the quality, the doctor has begun using a different machine as the pregnancy has moved into later stages and the angle is different, and I think distorted. I hope to get a more complete explanation from the doctor next time, but UltraGirl was really relieved to be able to count 5 fingers this time.
